Club Superintendents
The Course Superintendent may be the single, most vital person in a successful golf club. Stowe Country Club has had just four superintendents in its forty-three year history. Each person brought his expertise and conscientious stewardship to the course. The superintendent is the person who worries over each and every vagary of the weather (even in the winter) and each and every critter big and small. Over the years these leaders and their men planted trees and cut down trees, built the cart paths and bridges, built and re-built sand traps, trapped skunks and beavers, shot crows and treated insects and grubs. They continue to do much, much more, resulting in the quality golf venue we continue to enjoy today.
